We also just heard that the BBC were filming at Hales Superbole recently and will be airing a video on the program “Inside Out” at 7.30pm on Wednesday the 22nd, so if you have a TV and a valid TV licence make sure you check it out! More good news from the Hales Bole is that centre manager, jib king and all round nice guy Mark is now engaged, mega congratulations from everyone at the BFC to Mark and Sarah!

And now to the fun side of things! We are cracking on here with T-Shirts and some limited edition clothing (Which might be out before christmas…) whilst Jack is getting all kinds of hectic with about 48 weeks worth of footage, trust us the next dvd is going to be a corker! any ideas for names?

• Looked at the moon and jupiter through a MEGA telescope
• Drank sangria
• Played the Violin (Jack Johnston can play the james bond theme)
• Played with a burning-fire-stick-circus-twiddly-thing
• Rapped the fresh prince theme tune around a campfire full of hippies playing some intense bongo beats.
• Found a marraca
• Found a black hole.
• Found a torch.
• Had an incident with the peace tower.

The next morning we had a bit of a ride at Knockhill then shot off to Priory for the Trampa Challenge. The event started with some weird folk running up and down the hill and then we got underway with the BFC Floodlit Rail Jam.

The Jam went really well and yet again the standard of rail riding was pushed, there were more frontboards than 5-0’s and it was great to see people of all ages who wouldnt normally “jib” pushing themselves and having loads of fun.

Results for the BFC Floodlit Rail Jam:

1. Arno VDV (highlights being siiick pivot 270 action, frontboards, and styllle)
2. Simon Andrews (highlights including frontboards on the high rail)
3. Rory Mundell Perkins (highlights being the fact that he came from nowhere and absolutley shut the whole rail park down!)

We then went on into the Trampa Night Air which saw some insane tricks go down on the floodlit big air jump at Priory. There was a massive crowd and the invited riders impressed with yet another intense display of stunts, aerial manouveres and tap indys.

In our opinion Ollie Morrison’s smooth corked backside sevens would have put him in first place above MBS pro rider Joe Dickson who was going massive with his frontside 720’s, third place probably went to Arno VDV who’s style knows no boundries when conducting precise, expert aerial operations such as rodeos. Does anyone know if Belgium has a version of the red arrows? If you could send more information along with a cheque for 26 euros to Arno VDV, Antwerp, Belgium that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

oh so while we’re at it showing you pictures from the event you might aswell have a look at this picture of Joe Dickson mid spin whistling either the much loved whistling song (you know the young folks one by peter bjorn and john that, when you whistle it sounds a bit like the theme tune from honk kong phooey?) or some latest drum and bass classic that he has had playing in his van lately. you decide.

After the Night Air which saw BFC and MBS rider Rhys Crilley stomp a frontside 5 melon, Oztralian Ryan Slater steezing it out with his 360s and Niall Fo Sho Po Fo getting some rad with his backside corked 5s, the party truly began. After the return of Skankt, the band that every mountainboarder from 2003/04 loved, and some other band that i can’t remember the name of but were pretty good, it was the sole intention of the DJs to play as much filthy, dirty electro, breakbeat, dub and dnb as possible which turned out to be perfect for the field full of people (mountainboarders and random sixth formers alike) who wanted to party like they were on a date with prince at that 1999 party that he always goes on about.

Seriously though, the party on saturday night at the Trampa Challenge is by far and large the best party at a mountainboard event I have ever been to. Please, please, please more of this. Dave even got some girls number on a bit of paper and an invite to her house for, yup thats right, you guessed it… …Cream Teas and Jam!

On sunday everyone was on a different planet yet the slopestyle still happened, all you need to know is that Joe Dickson did a super nice run, Dave Compton did a switch backside 3 off of the wallride by accident, everybody actually noticed that light travels faster than sound when Ollie M did a switch rocknroll in the quarterpipe and you heard the sound of his deck slapping the coping as he was riding back down, oh and Matt Brind did a switch backside 5 then went on to do a switch backside 720; the first in mountainboard history if i am not mistaken?

All in all it was one of the most fun events ever even if the results made about as much sense as Lassie reading out “a brief history of time” to the 3 mice from the babe films whilst sailing down the river kwai on a boat made out of rice, horsefeathers and hope.

But seriously who gives a damn about results when you have just had one of the most fun weekends ever mountainboarding, partying and disco dancing courtsey of the lovely awesome people at Trampa and Ride The Hill

In the Fat Face Night Air World Freestyle Championships (which had to be called off after 3 qualification runs due to the weather) MBS pro rider Renny Myles claimed 1st, Pavel Dunavev walked away with 2nd and Ben Tweedie took 3rd in the open category. Mick Kirkman won the under 14s, Ben Rye won the under 18 category, Jos Kirkman won the ladies class and all round legend Jon Burton took 1st in the masters. As for the BFC Dave Compton got 7th, Rhys Crilley got 12th and Martyn James got 14th, happy days.

Cheers to AJ, Bugs and everyone at Bugs Boarding and Fat Face for making it happen. Hopefully next year it’ll be a bit less wet!

Secondly sorry about being lame with updates and general stuff, t shirts and international dvds have been delayed as we’ve been really busy mountainboarding, filming and training for the 2008 olympic b-boi breakdance competition. good luck to Dave Compton on that one, win us some gold out there buddy!

We are all shooting over to germany, france and belgium on the first ever a bfc euro tour this week, all shenanigans are going to be documented for the second issue of the boarder mag! woooop woop! weve got some of the worlds best up and coming riders coming along, style power house Tuai lovejoy, australian aligator wrestler Ryan Slater, duracell rabbit Matt Brind, monkey butler Jed Hornyold and grandad James Sleigh will be joining Rhys, Dave, Steve, Jack and photographer Sarah Shields on what is going to be a pretttttty fun road trip.
